Server Move Complete

I have changed the server over to the new one. Everything should load and opperate much better.

I still need to rewrite the homepage from ASP to PHP. If anyone wants to help I'd appreciate it.

Also, I still have to rebuild the forum portion of the site.

Please bare with the changes as everything will get better.

Server Change

This site will soon be down for a day or two as I switch to our new servers. With 400GB of trafic per month and rising the server bandwidth is regularry exceding its daily cap.

When the site goes down you will see a notice for a bit, then the site should be back up.

Contest Over

With GeoHotz winning the grand prize the contest is officially over. The site will still exsist but will function more as a portal/blog for more unlocking information.

I've been a bit busy lately, but a site redesign will be coming soon.

I was able to confirm GeoHotz method using his readme instructions included in the rar file on his blog. I've sent over the winnings to him.

GeoHotz wins the contest pending validation on Monday. He understands that the method has to be verified.

To all of you sending me the nasty hate mail you can all go to he'll and eat shit as far as I'm concerned.

I pay out of pocket to host this site which by the way gets 400gb in tragic per month! I started this contest to help encourage developers to find us a solution. Ive had hundreds of people email me since the start with bogus methods claiming to unlock 4.6. I've briked 2 phones that I paid out of pocket validating these methods. Geogotz is well known but the rules apply the same to everyone.

I know how to jailbreak and unlock phones. I've done the processes hundeds of times. Not to mention the near 500 emails and chat requests I get from people asking for help. Everyone that's talked to me knows I'm honest and I only want to help the community.

So again, those of you that have sat at home waiting for an unlock and are now sending me hatemsil because I got stuck hactivating can go to hell for all I care.

Monday I will validate geohotz method and send him the cash!

0834: restoring 1.1.3 iphone OTB with 4.6 back to 1.1.1. iTunes extracting the 1.1.1

0838: iTunes verifing iphone restore
0839: iTunes restoring the phone
0839: iPhone rebooted with plug into itunes image on phone. iTunes says 1015 error
0840: closed iTunes, using concieted softwares 112 unlock to boot from recovery.
0842: iPhone rebooted with incorrect sim. This is due to the 4.03 baseband.
0842: starting 1.1.1 jailbreak process
0844: ran appsnap for 1.1.1, phone went back to homescreen
0846: appsnap didnt do anything, ran it again
0850: phone did not reboot. rebooted manually. iphone rebooting now, still says

activate iphone
0851: running appsnapp again
0856: iphone never rebooted. doing hard reset. phone rebooting.
0857: phone rebooted, running appsnapp again
0900: preformed hard reboot again, still says connect to iTunes
0904: no luck using id2 to activate
0905: launching itunes, entering dfu, restoring to 1.1.1 again
0907: dfu didnt work, bad timing, rebooting iphone
0908: itunes sees iphone and compains of invalid sim, entering dfu mode
0909: successfully entered DFU, restoring to 1.1.1
0910: iphone screen went white. it didnt due that on first restore attempt
0914: itunes logo on phone, 1015 error in itues. using concieted method to recover

from recovery mode.
0917: booted out of recovery, jailbreaking now
0919: ruinning appsnapp
0921: appsnapp not working at all, downgrading to 1.0.2
0929: restored to 1.0.2. yellow triangle on iphone. iTunes said 1013 error.

booting out of revery via ibrk.
0942: tried hacktivating 1.0.2 with ibrkr and apptapp, no luck, neither can

communicate with the phone.
0943: restoring to 1.1.1
0953: restore to 111 complete. entering dfu to restore to 111 again.
0959: restore to 111 complete. 1015 error, restoring again
1005: restore to 111 complete. used ibrk to recover out of recovery mode
1005: using appsnapp to jb
1007: running appsnapp
1010: appsnapp didnt work. removed sim. doing a hard reboot.
1013: didnt work with any other sim, inserted original att sim (non activated) trying

appsnapp again.
1014:appsnapp didnt work. turned iphone off, inserted valid sim. running appsnap

again
1019: still no luck with appsnapp, restoring to 113 now via official itunes restore
1025: restored to 113, entering dfu mode, downgrade to 111
1031: restore to 111 complete, restoring again
1038: restore complete, used ibrkr to get out of recovery. JB with appsnap
1047: started appsnapp
1050: still not able to get appsnapp working
1052: did a hard restore, trying appsnapp again
1054: no go with appsnapp, hard reboot
1055: hard reboot again
1057: tried appsnapp again, still no luck
1105: hard reboot again

1114: installing appsnapp
1117: no luck again, downgrading to 1.0.2
1133: downgraded you 1.0.2, not luck activating, going back to 1.1.1 and trying i.unlock.no
1135: restoring to 111
1145: restoe complete, jb via i.unlock.no
1154: jb completed. installed oktoprep, updating to 112
1159: update to 112 complete. using concieted 112 JB now
1207: 112 Jailbreak complete, installing BSD Subsystem
1208: added http://installer.iclarified.com to installer sources
1214: started unlock via iclarifieds installer package
1216: spinning rainbow in the middle of iphone screen
1220: phone appears to be frozen
1221: iphone restarted
1222: iphone back up at home screen. according to installers uninstall tab nothings installed. installing openssh
1225: started unlock via putty via installer using iclarified package.
1231: according to the output installer.app log the unlock finished. However the phone just sits there and reebots.
1241: tried my tmobile sim, and nothing, under network it says unavilable.

I would take extreme caution and only do this if your willing to turn your iphone into a paperweight. The fact that it involves power over a stereo cable? And shorting out? Sounds risky and fishy to me. Even if this works its still a hardware unlock.

Patience is all we can hope for...
